Shadow Voice

Welcome to the first blog post of our new website, The Silhouette Project.

The other day a tucked away memory of a college acting class came to me. I remembered the professor instructed us to put a pillow case over our heads while we read lines from a script. This was an intro to acting class and we all did better reading our lines hidden in the safety of the pillowcase while we found our voice. There was comfort in not being able to “see or be seen”.

This experience over thirty years ago reminds me of what I’m encouraging anyone that would like to share their story with me in The Silhouette Project. Your voice will be heard and you will feel the safety and comfort by being invisible, anonymous.
